Hot fresh food stops, drink stops and attendant mechanical and motivational support for riders wanting to take on Norfolk’s ultimate cycling challenge. Insanity not compulsory… but it helps!
Insanity is part of the unique Pedal Norfolk two day cycling festival set in the stunning Holkham Hall estate in North Norfolk. Expect big open skies, lots of varied scenery and a few lumps giving you over 5,500 feet of elevation during the day.
This is a sunrise to sunset sportive with strictly limited numbers. You must complete the distance in daylight, as a guide an average of 12.5mph will see you complete the challenge in 12 hours excluding feedstops). Those running out of daylight (or energy) can take a signed shortcut or be swept up for a ride home in the broom wagon.
Not often do you get the chance to ride such a challenge with the security of fully inclusive hot and cold food stops, the full support you have come to expect from TPR Events and unique chunky medal and Adnams Beer at the finish.
Insanity is strictly limited to just 200 riders to ensure riders receive our full attention for a top quality season defining day out.

Ride Details
150 Mile Route
Starting at the Pedal Norfolk event village where you are welcome to book camping for the Friday and Saturday nights, we wind our way South towards Fakenham. Then it is North East towards the pretty and unspoilt market town of Holt before a longer leg south towards Farnham Broom and Scarning on the edge of Breckland. From here it is west to pick up the Nelson Sportive 100 route to Litchem and on to Dersingham on the West Norfolk coast. Head initially North to Sedgeford and then a final push east home via the landmark village of Burnham Market.
This route is will include a number of drink and food stops to keep you fuelled as well as some great riding roads.
Are you up for the challenge? You will need to complete the distance in 13 hours – that’s an average speed of 11.5mph excluding your feed stops.

Pedal Norfolk Festival
Insanity is part of the 2-day Pedal Norfolk Cycling Festival set in the prestigious Holkham Hall estate. We have teamed up with the Holkham team to bring you a weekend celebration of all the things we love about the cycling lifestyle – great rides on quiet roads, good friends and craic, food, music, and possibly a cheeky celebratory drink as the sun sets across the wonderful parkland setting.
You can book camping for Friday and Saturday night with street food, bar and live music available until 10pm on Saturday. This is a very, very rare opportunity to camp, caravan or motorhome in the beautifully idyllic Holkham estate in North Norfolk so book your accommodation early. Insanity
