Our first event and now well established in its 11th year as the most-loved cycling event in our region. Come and join our riders regardless of your experience level, age and goal – whether its to raise money for your charity, get fit and active or nail a fast 100 on quiet roads –  you are assured of a big day out surrounded by like minded cycling friends new and old.  

The 2024 Tour de Broads returns to the spacious Octagon Park in Little Plumstead on the outskirts of Norwich. Under Broadland’s big open skies you will discover some beautiful country roads and villages. Expect glimpses of the elusive Broads, charming river fronts and lots of windmills set in roadbeds with birdlife abound!

Tour de Broads is a great event for everyone no matter how long you have been cycling or what bike you ride. You can challenge yourself on either a 25, 50, 75 or 100 mile route. All routes will be fully risk assessed, signposted and supported by the wonderful team here at TPR Events. 

Our riders come in all shapes and sizes on all types of bikes, e-bikes, tandems, hand-cycles and even foot-bikes!

100 Mile Route

Join hundreds of other cyclists on the 100 mile route. This route will offer you Broadland villages including Ranworth, Woodbastickwick, Coltishall, Dilham, Ormesby, Filby, Stokesby, Reedham and Filby, plus it will will skirt the coast through the lighthouse village at Happisburgh and the stunning NT village at Horsey with it’s iconic Broadland windpump.    

This route is suitable to any bike as long as you are comfortable riding it for 100 miles. We introduce you to plenty of lanes, flowing B-roads as well as some faster link roads to help that all important average speed. We will support you every step of the way with FREE drink stops with lunch and home-made nibbles provided as well.

75 Mile Route

The 75 follows the 100 but without two of the coastal loops to Mundesley and Horsey. You will still experience the best bits of Broadland and enjoy the villages and unique landscapes on offer. 

This route is suitable to any bike as long as you are comfortable riding it for 75 miles. We introduce you to plenty of lanes, flowing B-roads as well as some faster link roads to help that all important average speed. We will support you every step of the way with FREE drink stops with lunch and home-made nibbles provided as well.

50 Mile Route

The 50 route follows the 100 and 75 for around 20 miles and then introduces you to perhaps one of the most popular riverside Broads villages at Horning and then Ludham and on to the quirky bridge at Potter Heigham (pronunced “ham” by us locals!) before rejoining the longer routes near Rollesby Broad.  

This route is suitable to any bike as long as you are comfortable riding it for 50 miles. We introduce you to plenty of lanes, flowing B-roads as well as some faster link roads to help that all important average speed. We will support you every step of the way with FREE drink stops with home-made nibbles provided as well.

25 Mile Route

Your first big ride? Our 25 is designed for those wanting to get started or for those who want to take a leisurely all-day tour through Broadland to the absolutely beautiful riverfront at Reedham. On the return it is quiet lanes and then an unusual little rise (for Broadland!) at Strumpshaw before returning to HQ. 

This route is suitable to any bike as long as you are comfortable riding it for 50 miles. We introduce you to plenty of lanes, flowing B-roads as well as some faster link roads to help that all important average speed. We will support you every step of the way with FREE drink stops with home-made nibbles provided as well.

Family Route

This route is designed for families to enjoy a big event over a family friendly distance! We endeavour to use non-traffic paths, trails and low-traffic byways to ensure it is an easy and stress-free day out for you and your family 😉
