TPR Events are thrilled to announce the Tour De Broads Winter Challenge Series.  These challenges are designed to build up your mileage over the winter months to be strong and ready for the Summer Tour De Broads and our other events in 2024. Rider packs will not be posted, but can be collected on the day. Enter all three to win a Finance Shop Christmas Hamper on 17th December!

Description

Road cycling is just a summer pastime, right?  Oh no, this winter, the Tour de Broads Winter Series is back to keep you motivated in December and January and fill the Christmas season cycling void! Three fully inclusive events, with the usual TPR Events hospitality,  three progressively more challenging distances and three bespoke interlocking medals to collect are just three reasons to ride the three events of the 2023 Tour de Broads Winter Series.

Our friends at Finance Shop also share our passion for cycling, keeping active and feeling great this winter. They are offering a delicious Christmas Hamper to be won at the first Winter Series event on 17th December.  Just enter all three rides and you could be leaving the first ride with more than just memories of a great day out and our amazing interlinked medal!

Winter Series No.1

Event Date – 17th December 2023, 10am

Location – Whitlingham Country Park

Route Distance – 25 Miles fully signposted, mechanical support, refreshments and warming soup & roll, tasty Adnams Ghost Ship (cheers!), bespoke interlocking medal number 1

Winter Series No. 2

Event Date – 30 December 2023, 10am

Location – Whitlingham Country Park

Route Distance – 35 Miles fully signposted, mechanical support, refreshments and warming soup & roll, tasty Adnams Ghost Ship (cheers!), bespoke interlocking medal number 2

We strongly urge you to ride with lights fitted to your bike. Weather reports are monitored closely on the run up to the event, which will go ahead as planned provided conditions are within tolerance –

Our tolerances are:

Torrential rain, Flooding

Electrical storm, Gales.

wind speed > 40 mph

temperature < 3 degrees

visibility < 5m

A decision will be made by the operational management team if the weather creates too great a risk for the event to proceed, participants will be contacted via email and social media. Final call of cancellation on the Friday before each event, 6pm. Should any event be cancelled due to weather conditions and can not be rescheduled within a reasonable time period, it will revert to a virtual sportive whereby you ride anytime that month, anywhere and complete the challenge distance. Submit your ride to us via email and you will receive your medal in the post, together with a voucher to use on future events.
